Barebone 3u Rackmount

Hey folks,

I'm in a process of building a cisco PIX 520. I'm looking for a plain, reasonable cheap 3u rackount. I'm trying to install an intel ATX board and have the PCI slots facing the front of the chassis/case, as shown here. I know I might need to do some modification, no biggie. Maybe you guys can point me to the right direction.

Thanks

4U cases are by far the cheapest as they sell in the highest volume and don't have to deal with strange sized components - all standard. Newegg has several under $75. Ebay is the place to look for cheap when it comes to rackmount or places like the For Sale/Trade section here. I'd check and see if eWiz has anything too. Newegg seldom has the best bottom line on cases anymore.

Or you could possibly build it into a rackmount drawer. You can often find rack components like that for cheap in going out of business corporate or government auctions.
