Mr. Hughes declined to comment on clock-speeds or other specifications of the shipping products and also remained tight-lipped regarding volumes or demand for the new central processing units that, according to AMD?s chief executive, faced six months delay.
What would be the point of being tight-lipped about such information at this stage. If it is shipping for revenue then that means whoever needs to know the specifications (i.e the people who are buying them, thereby generating the aforementioned August revenue) clearly already knows the specifications.
Oh wait, the shareholders. Ah yes, the shareholders could dearly use such info at this time. After all what is the point in announcing you are shipping for revenue in August if not for the shareholders benefit? It certainly benefits no one else (the announcement that is). And why would you withhold info on the specifics, oh that's right, manipulating shareholders again.
