Most likely it would be BYOC. But the idea bout Xboxes doesnt sound bad at all. People could play Xbox on the big screen on Thursdays. What games would be good? Sports and Halo?
 
Stupid idea... why pay $3.00 for a beer and the chance to play someone over LAN (assuming there is a good enough turnout) than to pick up a sixer for $7.00 and play on the cable connection I already have and still get good latency?

they ARE mutually exclusive. there will be no women in sight. if there are, they will leave as soon as they figure out what is going on.
 
I've considered this same idea before, and think it would work. I think only console games would work in a bar (but beer in a lan party center would be a hit if you could figure out liability). You would need to require ppl on the consoles to be ordering drinks somewhat regularly to keep a rotation on the consoles, and to even out the skill level. A drunk badass on a game would be an easier fight for a sober noob. I would not have the focus of the bar to be the consoles though or you will lose your women customers, and in turn the guys.

but my answer...no way in hell would that turn out well. your best bar brawl would consist of threats like "I sniped yo ass!"

Also doesn't seem like it would be very profitable...no time to drink when you're gaming, unless you're doing shots. which could get interesting.
 
sure, I would go. God knows how much fun I had when playing CS drunk... 🙂
but that's only when I was winning, if I were losing that night, it would be shitty.

also, you must consider one thing too: Most "LAN-er" are underage...

Although I don't know that I'd want clumsy drunks around my computer and monitor, lol...
 
Having computers near intoxicated people. glasses, and bottles doesn't sound like a good idea.

After a number of beers, I have in the past knocked over containers of liquids, bumped, and tripped over objects
