I have never had green beer before so I really wanted some. The girls I was with decided we would go to this place a bit far away because it probably won't be as crowded and sounded irish. I had to drop my dog off at home and so I said I'd meet them there. I got there first and had a beer while waiting. It was a pretty dirty sort of place. There was a mix between the biker types, heavily tattooed, cougars, and a few college kids. Finally the girls showed up and were not thrilled about the place and wanted to leave so we were talking about where to go.
We had just decided on a place as some drunk mid 40's guy stumbled past my friend. Some other guy got up and shoved the drunk guy in the back sending him tumbling to the ground amidst a bunch of unused bar stools. The girls and I were right in the middle so we retreated to the exits. From the exit, I saw the drunk guy start getting back up then grab a bar stool and bring it down on the other guy. He was drunk and not very strong so it didn't look like it had the devastating effect he probably hoped for. Then the bartender jumped in and other people jumped in and held them off.
As we were leaving, I saw the drunk guy stumbling out. Apparently the bartender threw him out (there was no other employee I saw but her) and so he was going to drive home. That was the peak of excitement for my St. Patrick's Day and at least I got a green beer.
