What kind of crust would you like? There is Bisquick, pie crust and biscuits. All three are really good depending on what you like.

maybe they microwaved them, a microwave wont get hot enough to kill bacteria.

You can't get any hotter any other way, unless you like eating waterless chicken.

It's just stew in a pie crust.

I think the media is stuck in rut. For one, the only way you could get salmonella from a pot pie is if you didn't cook it right. For another, it's not recalls that are up this year, but media sensationalism of recalls. Seems to me like they're biting the hand that feeds them in that regard.
