Anyone have a problem w/ one of your isp being banned and the other not?I have cable and dsl...and even though the mods say I'm not banned by name, email , or ip it still doesnt let my dsl post here...says I'm not allowed.odd... I've contacted the mods but wondered if anyone else has had a problem like this
 
ok...It works fine in opera...but I cant post on my dsl w/ Internet Explorer

all other browsers work

is there another answer to this other than "dont use IE" heh

I should have thought of clearing the cache myself...but...thats what forums are for...thousands of people there to think for you :Q
 
I'm a newbie using AOL as my ISP (don't ask...:disgust🙂 and I can't post when using that ISP. If I use Juno's free service I can post. I use IE 5. Who is a good person to contact about this problem?
 
the whole AOL ip range are banned long time ago already, no one can post from those ip's anymore
 
I'm an AOLer, though not by choice, and I'm banned. But I use NetZero and Bluelight to post here so it's all good. 🙂 Soon I'll be getting DSL so it matters not to me.
 
This is not a software or forum issue, you are probably banned by ip, and once and awhile when you log in your IP is the one in the ban list. There are only 3 ways you are banned, one is your username, two is your email address, and three is your ip address.
 
ya is your IP address dynamic? but if that was the case it would not work in ALL brousers, I wonder if your cookies are getting corrupted somehow, try deleteing all you cookies, clearing your IE cache again and see if it continues to happen.

I've emailed mods and was told I'm not banned. I thought maybe I was at first too...but I'm not...and if I was supposed to be banned I imagine they'd ban my name and all my other ip as well.
 
fir, one of the 3 is true, which is the only way that message would be displayed. Your ip matched, or your username or your e-mail. You are the only reported case, so I am sure it's either ban that is true when your ip is matched your your browser/proxy cached an old ban page. Not much I can do at all.
