Banks auto-pay feature for private parties?

My bank (bank of america) offers free bill pay and allows custom payees, would I be able to use it for a private party? I was unemployed for quite a while and borrowed some money from my parents and in laws (I'm not a bum, I swear!)- since they're older and a little paypal phobic I was going to mail them monthly checks (they're from out of state), so automated payments would make it easier for them as well.

Yes, it arrives in a nondescript envelope though so tell them to expect it or they might throw it out as junk mail
