Bank Of America Savings Accounts

I know B Of A is one of the larger banks people uses. I current have an Interest Max account I opened a while ago when I needed a saving account and it has interest! Now I don't see a point why people uses any saving account from B Of A with other saving accounts such as ING which has way more interest %. I am thinking of close my IMAX account and throw that amount into ING, Your thoughts?

I closed out my account. Making 4.77% on the Vanguard MMF. No reason to keep it in BOFA now that you can get 4.75%

my question is why close it, you probably arent paying any fees for it, i keep most of my savings in ing but leave some in bofa if i need quick access to some money. getting your money out of ing can take up to 10 days sometimes.

I am just greedy, seeing the amount making very little interest in B Of A and if that amount is in ING, it will be more.
I guess the quick access to money part is why I still I have that IMax account.

10 days? Try like 1-2.

It's 5 days for new money that is put in, but if you are putting in say 200 and then needing to pull out 200 in a few days, then ING isn't for you.

ING is great, as many will tell you on this board.

I use Commerce Bank for my Checking and ING for Savings. I use Quicken to manage my money so that I always know what money I will need.

might as well keep your normal savings account because it is so easy to get money in and out of, but put "safe" money in the higher-interest account with lower liquidity.
