Bank of America buying MBNA

You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

We have a mortgage through fleet, and haven't really noticed much since BOA took over, but they did change some of the policies about minimum balances and stuff.

I'm not really fond of BOA, but I can't say with certainty that they are worse than any other bank.

I'm a Fleet customer and I haven't noticed a single change in my accounts since BoA's acquistion. MBNA on the other hand hounds me mericilessly with CC offers.

Crap ... I've had MBNA since 98 and things have been fine. Now this!!!!!!
I've heard from a couple of former fleet customers that they are not happy ever since
BOA bought them out.

I had Fleet before the BOA buy out, and am now BOA and honestly haven't seen a single downside, they actually have a much better site to manage my finances now.

But this is a pretty huge buy out, MBNA is fvcking huge! Well was...

when this is all over, there will only be 2 national banks and a bunch of regional banks.
Chase and BoA.

Make that 3.....since I'm pretty sure Citibank/Citicorp will be right alongside them

Yep, Citibank is a monster!

MBNA has been decent to me for the last 10 years. However, their blatant political donations have angered me enough to stop using their cards. Anyone know if Bank of America is politically neutral?

my BoA merger experience

I do not get why you don't have yoru account number......
I have the account number but I don't use checks so I don't have the routing number. I can find it when I get home but the point is I should be able to pay my BANK OF AMERICA credit card from my BANK OF AMERICA bank account without having to make a dozen phone calls to do so. Fleet did suck at times, but at least a call would straighten things out.
