For some reason, my good friend Steve has the power to inspire me to do stupid crap. I hope he's proud of himself. :D Today while he was here, I got the brite idea to make a personal BanginChunes system. So I did. :) He are pictures of the backpack-sized BanginChunes system.

Charging the 12v lead-acid battery. You can see a glimpse of the left speaker, showing how the speakers are oriented left-right, as they should be.

View from the front and side showing the Diamond Rio clipped to one of the shoulder straps. This is the source of the muzac for this BanginChunes system.

The idea is to load some "fun" songs (Tequila by the Champs for instance) onto the Rio, then crank 'er up and walk around in public with the backpack pounding out chunes, enjoying the puzzled looks on people's faces. :D Ah, yes, how great it is to be skilled with a soldering iron.:p

[edit] Yes, we did test it. We only walked a few blocks down the road playing I Must Increase My Bust by Lords of Acid, but we got about a half-dozen funny looks. :)

Well, at a glance, you wouldn't have any idea where that loud music is coming from. :D It just looks like I'm wearing a backpack. The funny looks occur between the time when they look up to find the source of the loud music and the time when they figure it must be coming from the backpack. :)

Play DMB's "Crash" and see if anyone can understand him. You'll be sure to get results! :)
