What card is the best bang for the buck?
- MSI-8900 GeForce-4 Ti-4800-SE 128MB DDR, TV-Out + DVI, Boxed - $330.00
- Albatron Ti-4200 Turbo 128MB 3.3ns DDR TV-Out, DVI Boxed - $305.00
- MSI 8894-070 GeForce-4 Ti-4200-TD-8X 128MB DDR, TV-Out + DVI, Boxed - $269.00
- ATI "Sapphire" Radeon 9500Pro 128DDR 128Bit, DVI, TV-Out, OEM - $275.00
- CHAINTECH GEF-4 TI-4200 128MB DDR TV/O - $283.00

Which oem company makes the fastest cards.
All these prices are Canadian too.

ATI is a much better bargin then any of the GF4 based card in Canada. (From a price to performance view)

Anyways, you may want to consdering ordering from NCIX and price match here CTY

If you don't live in BC, you don't have to pay PST, so that's another 8% depending on where you live. (Shipping cost is pretty reasonable)

In Canada, it just doesn't make sense to buy NV cards. They are way too expensive.

I mean if we had the Ti4200 for $100USD, then the choice would be more difficult but as you will see, Ti4200 is on par or sometimes even more expensive than 9500Pro, then the choice is pretty obvious.

That's interesting. Because I've been doing alot of research lately on those exact cards. I personally think that the MSI TD8X 128mb retail is the best "deal." But I'm waiting patiently and getting an ATI 9500 pro for other reasons.

Reason I say the MSI chip is the best is. Take a look at the software you get with it. Then go look a conclusion of a benchmark taken. In it, they mention that even when over clocked, they couldn't get it any hotter than 40 degrees. That's a pretty spiffy cooling device if you ask me. I was totally set into getting the MSI, until I found out my POS dell can actually run a 9500. I found out from the forums at dell heh..

I would say that the MSI software is worth $100.00 (US) alone. Then the chip can be overclocked (with it's own drivers) to almost 4600 speeds. So you can play all the games it comes with at high resolutions..

That's my 2cents 🙂

Ruckas-

Edit: I can't spell (sigh.)
