Bandwidth requirements for Netflix HD

Already searched and can't find an official answer. What kind of bandwidth does it need to get HD streaming? I have a Xbox 360 that I'd like to try it with.

It's stupid. I should have the option just to wait longer for it to start.

I haven't had any problems with it. Netflix supposedly fixed a glitch that was causing some problems so it is all good now.

Between 7 and 10mbps is what I read.. I only have 3mbps so no go for me, nothing faster is offered in my area. Nice that it can work at 6 though.

Well, this should answer the OP's question.

Certain titles are available to watch in HD on your Netflix ready device. In order to watch in HD you need:

* A HD TV and component or HDMI connection from your Netflix ready device to your TV
* A high-speed internet connection at time of playback (typically 5 Mbps or higher)

6mb sounds about right. I keep 4 bars as long as my PC's ain't doing anything on a 10mb.

According to the Netflix blog, the higher quality HD stream is 3800 kbps.

We have 1.5 DSL and the movie we watched looked OK. The compression artifacts were really only noticeable during dark scenes.
