Hello,

Does any one out here know how to limit the bandwidth of a specific IP on the network on a router running the disk install of LRP (linux router project)?

Thanks in advance.

I think I read that a pentium 90 can easily handle a 10 meg connection, unless you're doing something funky like a lot of encrypted VPN sessions.

I think he's asking if he CAN limit throughput from/to a certain IP, not if the software/hardware is capable of handling a certain amount of throughput. :)

As far as I know, LRP cannot limit bandwidth to a specific IP address... However I am not 100% sure on that...

Not 100% faminliar with LRP but if there is a ipchains util then you can restrict access from the users IP but I do not know about limiting bandwidth.
