I dunno I watched SPR (Saving Private Ryan) last night thats pretty damn accurate too ... i mean same director so obviously a lot of the stuff is gonna be the same.

Accurate? Men yacking constantly while walking the front lines.....ever fire a few rounds through a Thompson with WWII era ammo.....instant smoke screen!

It IS more accurate than anything previous, but not as accurate as it could be.

Those of you think it's accurate, just curious, is it based on personal experience? Like, you were there? If so, I'd like to ask you a few questions.

HBO - Sunday 8pm cst, repeated during the week several times.

I'm guessing it will be on DVD, gotta recoup the production cost somehow.

After the first 5 eps, HBO repeated 1-5 back to back one day. Maybe they will do it again for 5-10 and 1-10?

yes its based on real things that happened
right before each episode they have the veterans talk about their experiences while they were there (about that particular episode)
