They haven't cut anything though...the DVD episodes are usually just under an hour, allowing for commercials

i dont want movies on history channel! i want what history channel has always been, documentaries and stuff, gosh, next thing you know they will ruin history channel like they did discovery by putting all that american chopper crap on their. DC used to be a safe haven, now its overrun by non nerds, i cant handle this, and the chics have taken over TLC. History channel is all i have left and now they want to take it too

Apparantly you've never seen Black Sheep Squadron? I think it's great [that they're showing BoB], it attracts attention to the History Channel and gets people interested in history. And most importantly, gives people an opportunity to see an amazing and important film without paying for it. Sorry to say, but with all of their history vs. hollywood, and loading up on documentaries that are related to historical movies that are out in theaters, I'd say they've been trying to appeal to non-nerds for a long time. :) It's ok, you still have The Learning Channel. Err... no. A&E? No... ummm.... Sorry, no safe haven for nerds on TV except the Sci-Fi channel.
