Turned some applications in today. At Banana Republic, the manager did a quick 4 minute questionare and then schedule me for a 2nd interview on Wednesday. Got home, Champs Sports calls me and schedules an interview for tomorrow. What should i wear for the occasions? What questions should i prepare to answer? Suggestions? Advice? Thanks.

update: I think i did pretty well on today's interview with Champs. The lady was laughing at some of the stuff i said. She discussed pay, typical questions, etc. On Friday, i'm going to be having my second interview with the assistant manager. Overall, it went very smoothly today :)

update 2: ust got back from banana republic interview, i think i did a pretty good job on this one as well. The manager was cute as hell and her shirt wasn't buttoned that well. it was like 3 buttons down, and i could see alot She said she'll call me back within a week. my next interview will be with champs sports next monday. my question: what if i want to wait to see what banana republic wants to say but champs offers me the job on the second interview?

UPDATE 3: Hot chick manager from Banana Republic called me offering me job at $7.50/hour. She gave me some time to call back. Called back in like three hours. She was like freaking so ethusastic and excited that i was going to be on the team. I have paid training this saturday at my hourly rate. Wahoo!

Update 4: I begin Banana Republic Training tomorrow at another location from 10AM-3PM, paid wahoo! hope it won't be that boring.

Update 5: Job begins tomorrow. First shift 8-1PM, opening the store with the chick :)

Goodluck :D On both I'd wear khakis and a polo shirt, although maybe a button up shirt minus the tie, for the banana republic.

on both i would wear a suit if i were you. better to be overdressed than underdressed, no matter who the interview is with.

just dress nice. If I were the manager of a retail store and someone walked in wearing a suit for a grunt position, I would think twice. I want to see the real person, not some phony. But that is just me.

Yeah, that's why I didn't think a suit was needed - or even a tie, although a tie is rarely going to be overdressed for an interview I suppose.

If you do get the job, give us ATOTers 20% discount. 20% off Banana republic would be nice.

advice.. just be yourself.. apparently they liked you enough to ask you back.. they'll also try to ask you to tell them about your past experiences, ie how you handled certain situations like disgruntled customers.. things like that

well i've decided to go with white polo, khakis, and brown leather dress shoes for champs, and instead of white polo, sky blue dress shirt for banana republic :)

I applied for a sales job a long time ago, and i just had a shirt, tie, and slacks and i got the job. That's what i'd go with, you don't need a suit, and i think it'd probably hurt you.
