I bought some banana plugs from ebay, super cheap but they are really crappy, need some new good ones without breaking the bank. I am not a audiophile and this will be for a really cheap system, hoping not to pay more than 1$ a pair maybe 1.5 max.

I read through the other threads and i can say a few things off hand. I don't want something that's complicated, where the wire has to be put in a certain way or soldered for the best result. looking for something that's straight forward and yet effective.

Looked at the MP open and closed ones. I was planning to go for the closed, but read on another thread the people preferred open. What is the difference? is one more effective or idiot proof than the other? if someone can please link some webpage or pictures or video on how to wire them that would be great

I'd use the monoprice ones... those ones look ugly. Like really ugly.

Although now that I've used SpeakOns, I'd use those(To be clear you can't use them with a receiver).

MP is out of those at the moment, says they will be back in stock by 16th, leaning towards getting those once they are back in stock. Shopped around and they seem to have the best price...

Doesn't really make any difference. I use the open type from monoprice, and vouch for MP quality.

I use the Dual Banana Plugs from Monoprice. AFAIK pretty much all receivers and speakers have their terminals spaced right to use these nowadays. Much easier to deal with when reaching back behind in dark places and wedging your face behind your receiver to read the labels... plug in once instead of twice.

I used the closed ones from Monoprice and they're great; cheap, super-easy to put together, and they last forever (unless you're constantly unscrewing them, but why would you ever do that?).
