I'm not a big fan of smoking or fast food, but I think the real freedom enjoyed by being able to make the choice for yourself is MUCH more important than the illusion of safety created by banning them.

Back on topic:
Decent video, but it should have been a little more scary or epic.
Something to really inspire folks.

I dunno, Comedy seems to influence people more than drama. Look at late night talk shows. :p

I can't imagine how you could have possibly thought this belonged anywhere other than P&N. Oh that's right, you think the rules don't apply to you. Maybe you should be banned for always posting in the wrong forum.

Informative. Man, our society sucks. From this video you'd think we are all a bunch of pussies.

Wait....

I know, right? I mean, I'm such a rebel and a rule breaker anyhow, huh? I'm always running around these forums posting bad things nad breaking all the rules.

WTF ever, Mugs. I thought it was interesting and might spark an interesting conversation.

If all that interests you are videos of giant penis slides, so be it. I thought I might add a topic that was a little more thought provoking here.

I don't think there should be bans, just taxes that go straight to education. Fast food tax, goes straight to educating children! If only...

I say ban incapable parents from procreating; half the bans we've got are because parents can't be bothered to raise their kids anymore, which is partially caused by the ban on spankings.

Spank your kids for a better America!

Hehe, the night before the fruity drinks got banned in Utah they went on sale, practically for free. For the next few weeks all there was to drink at house parties was Smirnoff ice and mikes hard lemonade.

If you want to see whats next to be banned in the future, just look in Off topic and P&N forums and see what all people want to ban, or what class of people, or size of people, race of people, people for the people, people of people, or just any people as long as its not their people they want killed off the face of the earth. Chances are, they will get what they asked for, for this is the "all about me and my wants" country. Land of the Free my ass :p Ban ban Bickity ban, up ur ban hole! Go ban off you mother banners!

Just wait until this thread gets going and you will see where the nannies get their support. You don't even have to wait, just do a search on the simple 3 letters SUV.

Two conflicting problems here: In some cases, the public doesn't really know what's in their best interest, and need someone else to motivate them to stay safe. Seat belt laws, for example; or maybe leaded gas would be a better one, since it can directly affect other people through air that's polluted with a heavy metal.
The other side of it: Who's to say that the government knows what is best? From listening to Congress, a lot of them sound like communications-major dropouts, assuming they even made it to college.

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ---C. S. Lewis

This is true.

We wouldnt need so many laws & regulations if people werent so dumb.

I still like George Carlins idea.
Take all the warning labels off everything and let the problems work themselves out.
One of the reasons people are so ignorant is they cant make mistakes and and learn.

Also, I agree about the tyranny thing.
