What is your opinion of him? The little I have seen of him (I didn't watch the show that much) it seems like he is just a punk. Why does his dad let him beat on him like that? It seems like Bam is always sucker punching someone, or just being sneaky. I don't think I've ever seen him do anything really crazy like Steve O or Johnny Knoxville, either, so I don't know why they put up with him.

I saw him on MTV's Cribs. His house is like a mansion. I guess he's a professional skateboarder but I doubt if he's made enough money to buy that phat pad he and his family live in. At the end of the segment he showed this guy who lived in a crawl space in his basement. He said the guy gets paid to drink beer and get slapped in the face. As soon as he said slapped in the face he backhanded the crap out of the guy. I'm sorry, but where I come from that will get your ass kicked.

Have you seen the CKY series. Yea, that's pretty much his creation. Just watch the series and you'll see why they "put up" with him. (That includes the documentary)

he is rich from skateboarding. He has an S4 and an A4. Watch CKY2k with the Chevy Cavelier for a good laugh.

He did make enough money to buy that "phat pad" for his parents. He was in the Village Voice (newspaper in NYC) a few weeks ago and it mentioned he has his own brand of skateboards. He has enough money to produce his first movie (not Jackass the movie) recently with his own money.

THAT'S why his dad lets him beat up on him. I would too if someone promised me a house.

"Since turning pro as a skater several years ago, Margera has toured with Tony Hawk, landed major sponsorship deals through skateboard and sneaker companies, and teamed up with Johnny Knoxville on Jackass?all of which has earned him more money then he ever imagined. "When Jackass came out, everybody was like, 'What? That kid Bam on Jackass has a pro board and shoe?' And they just bought all of it," explains the 23-year-old Margera. "I really don't have to worry about money anymore?I'm getting over a million dollars for the Jackass movie." And he's not afraid to spend it: He's purchased a $400,000 home for his parents, as well as a Ferrari, two Audis, and a Hummer for himself.

As with all the other CKY projects, Bam funded this one himself. "I spent every goddamn penny I had on that movie," he says. But I really wanted to do it, and I didn't want it to be half-assed, so I was willing to spend whatever it took." And like the other projects, it was an all-CKY deal. "

CKY is so damn funny. I just don't understand if Bam is the one that created CKY and pre-jackass, why is Johnny Knoxville the main star? You barely get to see Bam in some of the episodes of Jackass.....:confused:

Bam created what is essentially Jackass. Knoxville just happens to be the star. You should read the article I posted. Insightful stuff.

Bam's pretty cool actually. I've talked to him a few other guys from the West Chester CKY crew. They're really quite down to earth people. Hell one guy is a physicst (sp?)

Holy crap, that's cool. I really like Bam's stuff, I think Knoxville stole the spotlight away from him. Hopefully CKY 4 can make it to the movies. That would be great. :D

i thought rake yohn was a chemist. everyone should check out the cky videos, they're funnier than jackass. CKY is also the name of a rock band that bam's brother jess is the drummer of. Volume 1 and IDR are some really good albums by them. you can learn more at www.ckymusic.com

BTW the infamous sh1t/piss scene is in CKY2K

If you know who Steve-O is, then you know who Johnny Knoxville is. He's the better-looking guy who turned videotaping himself while testing products such as a bulletproof vest (he shot himself at point-blank range) for the Larry Flynt-owned Big Brother skateboarding magazine into a bidding war between MTV and Comedy Central that resulted in the creation of Jackass, which Knoxville hosted and starred in. And if you know who Johnny Knoxville is, then you probably know about Bam Margera and his crew, who were Jackass regulars

If you want to see where it all started check out the Big Brother videos, specificly #2(self defense test) and #3. If I recall correctly the second video came out around '96. They are mostly skateboarding, with the crazy stuff sprinkled througout.
