Baltimore vs Philadelphia.

I currently live in Baltimore.

No story here, just cliff notes.

- I think its Dirty
- I think its the toilet of America
- Its to dangerous
- Only 1 area of Baltimore is nice

Now someone make an argument why philly is nice or not nice, and maybe why Baltimore is nice?

Flip a coin? I live about the same distance from both and have been to both. I don't know why anyone would like living in the city.

Oh, I thought you were describing Philadelphia there. 😉

Baltimore imports alot of their crab now because of pollution & overfishing.

VD capitol of American for several years. Not sure how recent.

The ballpark is pretty. 🙂

Philly has the heritage.
Philly has the case law.

I'd say they both suck, but I have only lived in Baltimore. I can't imagine that Philadelphia is any worse, though.

Philly Native here. If you live in a suburb of Philly like somewhere in Bucks County, then it's pretty nice. If you want to live deep in the city, I'd definitely live in Manyunk (although that depends on how old you are, its a college town.)

Philly has its really nasty parts though, probably as bad as Baltimore's.

I'm wondering which area you think is nice - I would consider the Inner Harbor, Federal Hill, Mt. Vernon, Fells Point to an extent, to be pretty nice. In addition, the area north of University on Charles Street is defintely a "higher" class neighborhood.

Baltimore only has Inner Harbor while Philly has South Street, Manayunk, and Center City. Baltimore is just....meh. A lot more to see and do in Philly IMO.

Stay away from south philly, and west philly. Well, north philly sucks too. If you have to live in philly its center city or nothing. Even then you will probably end up in a roach/mouse infested building that is WAY overpriced. Basically, they both suck.

The thing about baltimore is that a couple streets are nice. Once you deviate from those you are back in the realm of getting shot.

I worked in both cities.
Both have their bad parts.
Philly has more nice parts than Baltimore.
I vote Philly.
But yeah, they both suck.

Baltimore's inner city is much worse than Philly's.
I worked in both inner-cities.
