Climbing it is all well and good, but when he hangs off and then goes to one hand he certifies himself as an idiot.

I don't know about him but I felt my balls retract inside my body watching him hang one handed.

Clipping in is for nerds.

...and people that don't wanna die.

Even if it made him less 'hardcore' to use safety gear, if he hauled enough rope up with him, he could rappel down at the end, instead of climbing down like a sissy girl. Although that's a lotta rope...anyone know how high that is?

High enough to BASE jump?

I was OK with it till the end where he's just hanging with one hand, yikes. It would suck to die that young, some old guy outta try that except he might have a heart attack trying to get up that far LOL..

Absolutely agree. I would climb it, but I'd hang on nice and tight once I was at the top enjoying the view.

The idea of people doing this really doesn't bother me, the problem that I have with it is some high school kids watching it and then getting themselves into trouble. Although if you were to get into trouble doing this I don't know that there would be enough time to get help anyways. There was a mythbusters a few seasons ago where they tested how long you could hold onto a ledge before letting go. It seemed that the average person had less than a minute before letting go.
