I also changed Shadowheart over to life domain and fixed up her attributes. I see I'm not the only one who thought this was a logical decision. I just discovered haste was a thing the other day. I'm less inclined to call haste overpowered and more inclined to call Lae'zel overpowered. I think the fighter class in general is a bit unbalanced. There are just too many high damage attacks per turn available vs most of the other classes. Haste just exacerbates the problem since the total number of attacks availible in a single turn makes the tradeoff of sitting out the next turn pretty irrelevant.
Haste potion = lasts 2 turns.

Haste spell = lasts 10 turns but it's also concentration.

I may be going against the grain here but I have to be honest.

I'm at the start of Act 3. It looks beautiful, but it started to get long in the tooth. It really doesn't help that the game is too easy now (at tactician) and this trivializes the story and excitement. It's trivialized to the point where I just don't care about the bosses nor the loot. That's not good when you don't care about gear... I'm just level 9.

There's a scene (spoilers) where you have to find your way around the massively blocked gate full of guards and 3 huge steel guard machines.

Well I just killed them all. It wasn't even hard. SH can just heal at every turn and Laezel/Paladin absolutely fried them.

I mean I'm not even looking forward to the next story boss... We need Tactician Plus difficulty instead of having to deal with mods and patches, etc. I think Tactician is +30% hp and +2 attack/dmg roll. It's a joke. Just make it +60%hp and +5 attack roll or might as well just double everything.

That's a fairly common complaint. I actually think it has more to do with the general trend in video games of being more difficult at the start and more forgiving near the end.

There are already Nexus mods that can make tactician more difficult.

Or you can handicap yourself by doing something like running two clerics, a druid and a wizard or warlock or sorcerer. Don't use the (plentiful) explosive barrels. Don't save/load for any failed dialogue checks. Don't pickpocket (seriously you get way more money than you need without pickpocketing). Don't use elixirs. Don't use the artifact weapons, which are almost all extremely overpowered (the orange ones like the Sword of Balduran). Don't use the hand crossbow glitch, which is definitely not possible in normal 5e rules. Don't allow any character resets. Run around with only 3 or 2 people. etc. etc. etc.

Yea I have to intentionally stunt how I play, I guess that's fine.

I am looking forward to the solo playthrough next. You can go Thief 5 / Ranger 2 / Fighter 2 or something (I'll have to look it up) that can solo kill everyone while abusing stealth mechanic. That sounds like Assasin's Creed-like. I may try that.
