Baking a 4870?

I have a faulty 4870 that was given to me, it reads in Catalyst in Crossfire mode as on and available in Devices with no flags etc but I get the BSOD if I try to play a game. Also if I have it on its own as the the primary card there is no screen at boot whatsoever. I went on to youtube and found that alot ppl have had some success at baking them, anyone been down this road before?

I wouldn't recommend baking video cards in the same oven you're going to cook food in. There's all sorts of harmful chemicals in that PCB that you don't want in your food. I say just cut your losses and get a new card.

Well I tried and it didn't work! I was gonna bin it anyway so nothing lost except half an hour.
