I stop at Bakersfield once on route to Yosemite.
Exit to get gas and that is the longest 5 minutes of my life.
Police patroling all around with one station at the gas station where I stop.
Really scary place.

bakersfield and cerritos are ways apart.

the only cool places in california are southern california, in and around the LA/San Diego area and the bay area up north

I live on a street called Bakersfield.....its not so bad

During the Depression a lot of Okies migrated to the Bakersfield Area to work in the Oil Fields there. Because of this Bakersfiled has more of a Bible Belt feel to it.
