Baked Potatoes : Skins or no?

cricky

Senior member
Just got done eating a Wendy's baked potato. The wife eats the skins and all, I just eat the white and leave the skin.

I don't know why I ask...

if its truly been baked and the skinds are crispy, then i eat them.

if they cheated and cooked it in a microwave and the skins are soggy -- the i dont eat them.

skins are like my favorite part. But only when I cook them, because I crisps upthe skins just a little bit more than usual.

Damn you now I'm getting hungry :|

I eat the skin if I'm the one that makes the potatoe... But if I guy if from a place like Wendy's, forget it.

If I make them at home... yes, i eat the skins.
If I eat them out or fast food... never. I don't trust anyone else to properly clean the skin well enough.

🙂

i love backed potatos but i have to say that skins is a hell no captain that is just wrong YUCK.. ill have melted cheese and pepper and ketchup ... YUM YUM !!!!! 😀

I guess I voted back in April.

wow, im not the only one "harrassing" him. cool. 😛

btw, the skins are clean if they are washed correctly. hence, no dirt

Heck yeah. What's even better is to cut the potatos up into little cubes, like half-inch cubes, sprinkle them with something like Johnny's Seasoning Salt and bake them until crispy. 😀

Well, other than the obvious recipe of "boil'emmash'emstick'eminnastew...boil'emmash'emstick'eminnastew..." 😀
