I spent 3 days trying to get WinXP installed on a Tyan MP mobo (S2460) No matter what I did, I kept getting a "can't find advapi32.dll" error message. After it loads everything during the first phase of installation, it reboots and asks for controller drivers, for which I give it my Promise controller. After that, when it starts copying files, that's when I get the "can't find advapi32.dll" error message. The WinXP disk is good, I had it running on my KR7A-Raid before this.

I finally whipped out my trusty old Win2K and it installed fine.

I am using a stick of registered DDR so I know it's not a ram issue. Additionally, it appears to be working perfectly with Win2K.

If anyone can shed some light on this issue, I will be like so happy.
