Bah I thought Grad school is supposed to be easy

it'll come back and you'll get used to the load. Good luck! I finished up last summer and I love my job (and being out of school). Although now that I'm out I find I am unmotivated to keep up on current paper etc in my field (geology)
Easy? It's supposed to be harder, but you're supposed to be more interested in it so you do better. At least it's not engineering/math/physics.
I found grad school to be much more difficult than undergrad, although that probably varies quite a bit from one program to the next.

didn't know you needed anything past calc I for a masters in econ. i don't think i'll be going for a masters.
math requirements for an undergraduate degree in econ and most business degrees is only business calc I. :lol:

Just started my first semester of Grad school in an engineering program. It is definitely tougher than undergrad.

How many classes are you taking and are you working full time?
This is my semester of grad school, and I work full time. I'm going for my M.S. in Accounting and Financial Management.
It's tough as hell already. Coming home after work, tired, with material to read and assignments to do. No time for the gym, not much time for the gf.....living off of energy drinks.

I've found grad school to be about the same level of difficulty as undergrad. At least, in my program.

I've taken a grad course as an undergrad and work in a lab with a lot of grad students.
In physics here weekly problem sets are LONG. I had one where my solutions were 40 pages.
Some other students taking one course in particular say they spend about 40 hrs/wk on one class.

For mine, it was minimal, and disguised as accounting.

It's not that bad
Grad chem is certainly harder, but it's a lot more focused so it's more gratfying. You don't waste your time learning a bunch of crap you don't care about. Well, you do, but it's a lot less than undergrad.

I agree. Undergrad was often boring, because subjects that are irrelevant to our major are forced down our throats. Grad school is definetly more gratifying and a lot more interesting almost everything pertains to my career.
