Bah I got a $40 parking ticket tonite - and so did my friend..

A guy i know from online was visiting LA from NC so we went to Arsenal (a bar) in LA. There was no parking on the main street (pico) so i parked on a side street. We did notice the sign that said "no parking at all times execpt xhrs to xhrs". However it was 10:30PM.. not like they will enforce. After all we would be out by 11:30 or so.

We come back , both of us have 40 dollar tickets. He is on a rental, not sure if he is paying for it. I will have to pay.

Bah! What a way to end the night.

I guess I got my "required" parking ticket for the year. Last 5 years or so I get 1 parking ticket per year. I strive not to get them but bah.

I hate the West Side.. the valley is so much nicer.

I hope he pays for it. My daughter rented a car and it got booted while she was in a meeting because the previous renter had gotten a number of campus parking tickets and failed to pay them. That was a real mess to straighten out. :frown:

I understand where he's coming from thinking after hours would be ok. In my city, cops don't ticket after 5pm...

Of course, if its in a zone with POSTED hours, it's there for a reason. Always read the signs....

OP, don't listen to these asshats. Its not that big a deal and kinda sucks for you. Hell, its not like you were trying to rob a convenience store or something. Very minor "law" to break, and all the rest of these ATOTers just like to have the houlier than thou attitude.
