Are manufacturer certified used cars worth it? Im guessing its about $2-3k more expensive than a regular non manufacturered certified car?

You'd have to look around and locally see what's available. I want to buy a late model maxima soon and I'm personally going to get it either by private party or from a used car dealer. My hope is to get one with low enough miles that it's fully covered by manufacturer warranty; then you're pretty well assured that it's a safe buy. At the very least I will get one with remaining powertrain (transmission/engine) warranty left. I don't expect I'll be buying this maxima from a nissan dealership because their prices are not as aggressive as a private or a used car dealer.

"Certified" used cars are ajust a way to wring more money out of your wallet.

Do you know how we "Certified" used cars at Toyota when I was working there ?

By placing a sign that sign say "Certified used car" in the windshield, no joke.
