I'll probably never purchase an Abit video card again.

I purchased one of the X600 Pro HDTV cards (the one with the daughter card that has component out on it) because, well, I'd rather have a card then an adapter on the back of my case. (Buying a plain X600 Pro + DVI to Component adapter was about the same cost as the x600 Pro HDTV card)

Well, it turns out that this HDTV doesn't work, atleast not correctly. I spent a few hours on the phone with Abit Tech support, who could barely speak english, trying to get this stupid card to work. The card would work, but as soon as you plug in just component, you could not get it to start up windows. (or atleast see any video from windows) The only way I could get it to work was use a DVI to Component adapter, and once windows was up and running, you could switch to the built in component and it'd work, but otherwise it wouldn't. I thought maybe it was the card until I checked out the abit forums.

It turns out that there is a thread where two other people cannot get it to work and Abit hasn't helped at all.

I've reinstalled the drivers like 50 times both the ones on the cd and the latest catalyst 5.6 drivers and nothing has worked so far.

Does anyone else have this card/got it to work? I'd like to use it, but I may end up just returning it to newegg. (I've already purchased a sapphire x600 to replace this one, but I can always return it)

If you got it to work, did it work right away or did you mess around with it?

Does anyone know anything about this card? I'd like to see if I could get it to work before I RMA it to Newegg on friday.
