Baguette and cheeses

I had a baguette and a variety of cheeses when I was in France. What are some cheeses that are traditionally served with a baguette?

I don't know if any cheese is traditionally served with a baguette... just type a bunch of random words that sound French to you, then look them up on Google to see if they are actual cheeses. Personally I'm quite fond of Vermont Cheddar.

Firm cheese is usually served. Your standard cheddars, colby, provolone, gouda, raclette, fruilano, swiss, and emmental would work well.

And as with all cheese, get as sharp as you can 😉

It may not be the right thing to do, but I like brie (or what they sell as brie in supermarkets) on crusty bread.

Let the cheese warm and it gets nice and squishy. You can almost spread it like butter.
