bag ideas? what can a lady put her stuff in.

My gf needs a new bag to carry her stuff in. She can't use a backpack because it isn't really right with business attire, and a briefcase isn't really appropriate. It has to be able to carry a few textbooks or a laptop, and hopefully, not to painful to carry. Any ideas?

Have her do what my wife does... get on ebay and buy a nice purse. My wife has gotten two Lucky purses for like 1/3 retail. I can handle $80 for a $250 purse.
