I would like to find a case with 3x5.25 drive bays, 1 or 2 3.5. I am going to put an Asus P4C800 Deluxe Mobo in it. I am looking for something sleek black or a black and aluminum combo look on the front. My main concern is fitting it in my desk setup. pictured here

I really need 3 5.25 drives but I don't need more than that.

Thanks. I am constantly looking at websites of cases I really like, but none of them would fit in my desk without me ditching my desk drawer.

They look ok, but the price will kill me. The lowest one is 23,800 yen, a.k.a 210 bucks? I think it's better to look at the cases from Antec, such as Sonata, Lanboy, or Super Lanboy.
 
OK i am willing to settle for 2 drive bays. What are my options for under 444.5mm (17.5 inches) - BEST LOOKING CASE. WHY ARE THERE NO ALTERNATIVES?
 
mod your desk 😉 is it hard to take the shelf where the case sits and lower it to ground level? or remove it altogether?
 
I could mod my desk by taking the drawer out, but the I have no drawer and it ruins the look of the desk just for a pc that is 2 inches taller , and I dont need that height. Also I just built the desk, taking off that shelf so it hits the ground would be out of the question, as it would significantly change the durability of the desk and its look (brand new)

I must say I like the look of that Soldam case. If you go that route be sure that they have the face plates to match the case for your cd-rom and floppy.

I seen this Lian Li PC-37 with a height of 365MM. Too bad, you can't go 450MM. You could then have a choice of any Lian-Li mid-tower case.

Coolerguys has a pretty good price on it, with matching cd-rom and floppy covers included.
 
Yea it's a shame if i could go with 450mm or something like that I could have any case I wanted.

I may go for the Antec Sonata or the Soldam S8.
 
Looking at the desk again. I think you could have a woodworker plane off the .3 inches you need from the bottom of your drawer.
