Hi,

We had some donations to our school from various people in the community. I had someone donate an Aopen CDRW that was flashed improperly and now freezes the system when I try to boot into win2k. Is there a way to flash this and fix it??? If not does anyone want me to make it into a keychain for them? j/k

Thanks for you help people.

I think if you screw up trying to flash something then you're screwed. That can make one hefty keychain.

interesting question... Somehow last week my bios totally got jacked over on my mobo. Wasn't even flashign the bios. But I did have to reflash it. So why coulnd' t you just reflash it? asuming you can get the computer to boot with it attached.

Monel's Sledge Hammer Mechanics On How To Fix A Bad CDR Flash V 1.0

Unplug CDR power plug. Boot into DOS. Plug CDR back in (With puter still on.) Reflash CDR.

If it don't work.....

Obtain a borrowed Aopen CDR of same model. Boot up with new CDR. Run flash program. At the closest point you can get without actually flashing, swap CDR's. Continue with flash.

If it don't work.....

RMA it. :)
