boxed mac & cheese... hamburger helper... dry packaged ramen noodles...

I just dont get it.

<shrug/>

I eat one of the first two maybe once a week or two. They're easy to make & filling, plus I can usually get enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Sometimes I'm just too busy or tired to make something "good."

Meh, it's actually better than a TV dinner... Only 8.75g saturated fat(45% RDV).

A Banquet Salisbury Steak TV dinner is almost 100%.

It was on sale for 1.50/box at Wal-Mart.. lol

What's wrong with hamburger helper? 😛 It's just noodles with some spices/sauce mix...

If you can make it from scratch, more power to you... I am sure it's better.... but still...

I guess the biggest attraction is the price....

Stuff like hamburger helper is actually cheaper to make from scratch, divide up and freeze individual meals. 🙂

but i am just kidding with you guys. Not everyone is good at everything. I can cook better than most anyone... but I suck at math, so it all evens out.

😉

no, i would not say that... but i did work in rest. on and off for almost 25yrs. Not so much in back of house though.

I learned to cook by being a stay at home mom, with loads of time, a desire to learn and the creativity to get really good at it. Having a family that appreciated my experimenting and what I produced was a great help, too.

I'd be interested in trying one of your "hamburger helper-esque" recipes, if you wouldn't mind sharing. 🙂
