My wife's computer has started to get the BSOD and this error message:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. BAD_SYSTEM_CONFIG_INFO"
She gets it only on startup. And there is no rhyme or reason to it. She has not added or removed anything from her computer for 8 months. There are no viruses detected by Norton AntiVirus with latest updates. And I ran Norton utilities and got no problems.
System:
Abit BH6 SS Bios
P3-600 Slot 1 @ 600MHz
256 MB memory in 1st slot, have tried moving memory with no luck
Seagate 60 GB Barracuda 7200 RPM drive...
Windows XP Pro(clean install 8 months ago)
Once again, this just started happening all of a sudden and one time it will be fine, next time we boot up we get BSOD.
I am wondering where the problem lies. MB? BIOS? CPU? Memory? HDD? or OS??
Greg
