Bad WinXP CD. Please help

So a friend of mine got a bad WinXP cd from Microsoft. It wont work on any computer. Cant boot from it or anything? How do I contact Microsoft to get it replaced and what is their policy?

I had the same problem at work. Download their start-up disk images. You'll need 6 floppies.

Pro boot disks

Home boot disks

What good the startup disks will do if the cd itself is damaged? If the cd can't be read by the cd-drive then you can't copy or start any of the installation files.
