Bad Video Quality help Pls. Newbie here

I have incounter a problem with my new system, i install the XP codec Pack2, whem I'm watching a DVD movie the color of the movie in Windows Media Player is Red and it is a lil dark, i try to adjust the Color Setting using the software of NVIDIA "NVIDIA control panel", still no good, try to install a CYberlink power DVD nothing change, there is also a time that the movie speed and the sound like your watching a chipmunk carton, try to uninstall the XP codec pack, still no go, I try watching a different Video format using Windows Media Player same color and speed (Sound and Video)

what do i need to fix this problem? can any one help me with my problem pls T_T
