Bad Video Card?

I have a e-TNT2 Vanta LT card. For the past few months when I start up my computer the screen is a blizzard, very choppy lines. Sometimes when I start it the screen will be completely perfect.

I know it's not the monitor because I just bought a new one last month, the old one blew out, and I've had the problem way before the new monitor.

Is the card broken and should I just replace it? Or is something else wrong?

Thanks

That card isn't usable at all for gaming anymore, so I'd replace it. You should be able to get a GF3 for around $50 if pricing is an issue, maybe a used 64MB Ti4200.

You could always try installing a new card and seeing if the problem still persists. That would rule out the possibility that the video card is broken.

fefinitely a good idea... if you don't do any gaming make sure the card is broken before you go out and replace it.
