i have a test network environment and have forward and reverse DNS lookup for all routers and it worked great. Rebooted all the VMs and now I get "bad value for AI flags" whenever I do traceroutes, as it can't seem to do the reverse lookups.

Nothing changed from the point of the reboot. Any suggestions as to where to even start looking? This has me stumped.

Yeah, but pretty sure it's reverse lookup related.
Distro is Trustix Linux.

Also have other weird network issues going on, but at this point it could be anything, using Zebra for routing.

Actually think its more serious.

When I do "service network restart" I get this: (typed out so may not be exact)

RIP: Can't setsockopt IP_ADD_MEMBERSHIP address already in use.
RIP Multicast join failed, interface eth0 not running.

So that explains my network issues. Using Zebra as router on Trustix OS.
