Bad TV Choices: My first rant.

Every time I try a new series, it ends up being cancelled. The most recent victim of this curse for me was Miracles. Older victims was All Souls, Special Unit 2, Titus, Dark Angel, and Firefly. I know many of you will most likely say "they sucked, who cares?", but I'm just getting tired of enjoying a show, then it just disappears without a trace, leaving me wondering what was supposed to happen in the ongoing story arc. Even worse, is when you see previews for next weeks episode, then find out its gone for good.

Titus didn't suck. That was a great show.

Why have I never heard of any of these shows.

Oh well.
 
I never really cared for Dark Angel. I liked Titus though. I want you to start watching Good Morning Miami, with any luck they'll put the show out of its misery and start showing reruns of something else. 🙂
 
Agreed..I've all but given up on TV because of this.

It also doesn't help to have your taste different than that of the average person's.

That's what's so great about movies..it doesn't matter if millions of people see it, or just 2 people did. When it's done, it's done..
 
I don't even waste my time with those crappy sitcoms anymore...moves and the big tv shows (ER, Law and order etc...) and the news are about it....damn I am getting old.

Sorry, no luck. I saw the preview for that and couldn't even stomach the commercial.

Heres the breakdown:

Miracles: Supernatural searching...finding demons and such.
Special Unit 2: Police hunting monsters.
All Souls: Doctor working in a hospital that has demonic connections.
Titus: Just a great comedy.
Dark Angel: Jessica Alba. Need I say more?
Firefly: Slow space series, but more realistic then any other space based shows.
 
I really liked miracles b/c I love all that spiritual sh!t.

Bastards.

No more new shows for me.

UC UnderCover. I liked the dude in charge....from the mummy.......the rest of em sucked.....but I did end up liking the show

That was then. Had to watch it as it's something I always dream about doing

Robbery Homicde Division. really liked that one a lot

I can't believe they cancelled Miracles. I was just starting to get a little X-Files "fix" from it........

Now, If I could cancel my DTV, I would think about it b/c it's a ll a waste of damn time anyway.

I usually don't have that happen TOO much. The only shows that have had the rug pulled out from under me in recent years have been:

1) Family Guy
2) Undeclared - It may not have been a great show, but I just personally found it enjoyable since it reminded me a LOT of my college days. Plus, the blonde chick on there was drop dead cute IMO.

I'm hoping that The Dead Zone on USA doesn't suffer the same fate. I just discovered this show a couple weeks ago and love it. If it was on ANY other network than USA I think it would be a huge hit, but we'll just see.
 
Firefly was pretty cool. All the ones you mentioned that I have heard of were good enough to atleast watch once in a while.
 
Well the problem is you have 2000 families across the US determining what the majority of America gets to watch. I think the Nielsen ratings system is outdated and flat out flawed.

What happens is that stupid goobers end up watching the trash like American Idol and ruin the chances for all the GOOD shows to get a foothold. :|

Wait.... They cancelled Miracles after only 4 or 5 episodes.....DAMN, I actuall;y thought that show had potential. 🙁
