I just bought a new laptop. My old laptop could not stay on for more then 2 minutes without being attached to AC power. This one can go 3+ hours. So the past 2 days i been walking around with it on stand by. And even a couple of times it was completely on. Its been upside down, and even tapped a little.

I just got a bag for it so the taps wont be harmful... but what about just being on while its movie and possibly upside down?

Anyone have any advice for me?

No hard drive likes being 'tapped' while it is running. You could walk around with the laptop as long as you ensure that it does not get get bumped around while switched on.

Being upside down shouldn't be an issue.

make the sleep button ur best friend. Hibernate your machine. Takes about 10 seconds tops to boot up and down.

Technically, it might work out if you live in a warm climate, but they probably won't let you inside a grocery store like that.
