I am selling a digital camera on ebay....and there is one person who seems very interested....he has offered me more than my reserve if I throw in a couple extra goodies....I told him I wasnt sure, since I want to keep things fair (I am new to ebay)....would it be bad if I sold it to him, or should I just wait out the auction?

Check to see if someone beats your reserve plus more and if things don't work out, just end the auction prematurely and go with this guy.

I have done it a couple of times and it won't mean a thing to end it early. You just lose your listing fee if you decide not to sell it.

Go for it.

It sounds like this person wants you to do it off eBay. I personally wouldn't unless he had great feedback that I could confirm and a good reason to not wait until the auction is over.

How does he want to pay? Where does he want you to ship it?

I rarely if ever end auctions early. There's a certain degree (even though it's kinda small) of safety by keeping everything expressly through ebay, unless he's got a good feedback record.

Personally, I'd tell him to put in the price he's willing to spend as the bid with the express agreement that you will include the extras should he win the auction.

just be careful.

if u sell the thing to him without going through ebay, and there is a screwup, ebay is not going to help you with anything.

why not just ask him to bid for it then. if he wants it at a price above reserve, he could just bid for it fair and square.

I think is ok to end your auction early. You can always relist it if he backs out. I would ONLY accept money order or bidpay. Don't accept any Paypal payments for something like a digicam
