Bad textures with dx 9.0?

I'm getting a lots of bad textures in all directX 9.0 based games on my asus 9200se graphics card. Have someone else experienced this? It's driving me nuts! I even complained to the reseller and asked for a new card. Got the new card, but the problem is still there. Can someone help me?
 
*Ahem...Your problem lies with the fact that the card you have is so incredibly underpowered in newer games that it doesn't support a vast variety of features. I also realized that you have the SE version. I'm betting that the SE is also bringing down your card. My suggestion is to buy a new card, if you want great performance and such. Though this is only my opinion and does not reflect the views of the poster.
 
What do you mean underpowered? Are we talking current, as in AC/DC?

It handles 6x antialiasing quite ok in halflife2 source. This is the computer of my step son. He says it used to work, but suddenly most all textures have gone bad.

I put my older msi nvidia ti4200 card into his computer. Directx 8.0. Running halflife2 quite ok. No texture problems. It need to be said that if he run dx 8.0 on his own card, it works flawlessly to. Is there something with this card?

By the way. I have almost exactly the same computer as you have, AtaruMoroboshi18. Not quite as fast video card though. Running Ubuntu Gnu/Linux amd 64 bit version. 😉
 
I mean not very powerful in terms of gaming. You would do well to find an AGP GeForce 6600 GT. I've heard those things will play any game that comes out!
 
Very simply put, the 9200SE is a horrible video card.

Your "old" TI 4200 is even much better.

 
Every driver for nvidia is tested, even the one shiped with the card. Also, directX is tried out with every version. And for the gays thing. I'm not english speaking. And not gay 😉 Master the english language pretty well. But sometimes I use some wrong words. Sorry folks 🙂 Better?
