bad sectors...

I have a 1 gig HDD (not sure what kind it is) that has bad sectors on it. Whenever I boot up it says so, then it runs scan disk in dos mode and freezes. It has *cough*Win95*cough* loaded on it. Is there any way to fix this without formatting and losing everything on the HDD? Is it worth it?

TIA🙂😀

1 Gig HDD = not worth the effort.

Buy a new HDD, and put everything that you need on there.
Then you can put the old HDD on a secondary IDE controller and pull off any files that you just ''Have'' to keep

1 Gig is barely worth troubleshooting, unless you have important data. Usually if it has a bad sector, its trash. Don't think it is repairable. Try Ghosting it if you have data you want out.
