Hi, I have just encountered bad sectors on my hard drive. When the PC was in operation it would just freeze up. I re formated and there were bad clusters/sectors on my drive. They are only worth about 3MB so am not really worried abou the space the take, but will my PC continually try to access them and freeze? Or will it now just ignore them? or has it repaired them?

Goto the manufacturer's web site and download the latest HD utilities.
They'll mark the bad sectors so nothing will write to those sectors

let me warn you, sometimes bad sector "grows".
so run scan disk again (thorough scan), like say in 2 or 3 days. and c if the amount of bad sector increases. if it does, i suggest getting a new HD.
