Wow, i used to be a HUGE Bad Religion fan, untill the Process of belief came out, then i stopped. However, this new album they have I decided to buy, and it is amazing! I never DL Bad Religion songs cause they deserve my money, I HIGHLY reccomend this album. Its got deep lyrics, and that traditional Bad Religion sound, good solos too! Anyone else have it?

Let Them Eat War Lyrics

Theres a prophet on a mountain and he's making up dinner
With long division and riding crop
Anybody can feel like a winner
When it's served up piping hot

But the people aren't looking for a handout
They're America's working corps
Can this be what they voted for?

Let them eat war
Let them eat more
That's how to ration the poor
Let them eat more
Let them eat war

There's an urgent need to feed
Declining crime

From the force to the union shops
The war economy is making new jobs
But the people who benefit most
Are breaking bread with their benevolent hosts

You never stole from the rich to give to the poor
All he ever gave to them was a war
And a foreign enemy to deplore

Let them eat war
Let them eat more
That's how to ration the poor
Let them eat more
Let them eat war

There's an urgent need to feed
Declining crime

We've got to kill 'em and eat em'
Before they reach for their checks
Squeeze some blue collars
make them bleed from their necks
Seize a few dollars from the people who sweat
Cause it's freedom or death and they won't question it
At a job site the boss is god like
Conditioned workhorses park at a stoplight
Seasoned vets with their feet in nets
A stones throw away from a rock fight
But not tonight, feed 'em death

Here comes another ration (feed them death)
Cause they're the finest in the nation (feed them death)
But there's nothing left to feed them
When it's freedom or it's death

Let them eat war
Let them eat more
That's how to ration the poor
Let them eat more
Let them eat war

There's an urgent need to feed

I used to like them back when I was in high school. I think I actually wore out my "Suffer" tape.
Kind of grew out of them though...

Add 80-85, and Generator.... How can you not have Generator on that list?

Saw them in 92?93? with Mighty Mighty BossTones, AMAZING show!!!

I concur.

Regarding the Dictionary thing.. I was at a show where a group in the audience had brought dictionaries and were ripping out pages and throwing them at them 🙂

Process of Belief was one of their best albums. I havn't gotten into empire strikes first very much yet. I'm sure it will grow on me after time.

Looking forward to seeing them in Toronto.

BR is still a great band. Greg Graffin rules.

People who complain about how they sold out with STF or how they haven't out out a good record in 15 years just aren't listening.

I loved the Process of Belief and I really like The Empire Strikes First. Against the Grain, Stranger Than Fiction, Generator and The Grey Race were all awesome records.

Oh gee... another anti-america song. How original.

What are you talking about?

The title song of the album. Have you heard the lyrics?

Yeah, I have listened to it. I don't really have a problem with an artist articulating his feelings towards current events. Greg Graffin's lyrics tend to be socially concious. I would rather listen to him speak in a somewhat educated fashion than listen to some idiot pile on because it is an election year.

I see. So people you like and/or agree with are "speak(ing) in a somewhat educated fashion" during an election year. And people you don't like and/or don't agree with are "some idiot pile on because it is an election year?"

This is an election year, you know.
