really dont know about this one.
I think i have a bad processor here. I have swithced out everything and just placed the processor into a new motherboard and am getting the same system crash error. All I can think of is that it is the processor? I did not think that I could install windows, etc..with a bad processor, but I have no other idea what to think. I have switched memory, psu, graphics card, and now mb..the only thing that is the same is the cpu.
I started with a soyo p4s ultra. Install went okay, then started getting RANDOM system crashes. The event ID log states that it is 1003 code 102. Not much info on that one.
I replaced the memory, the video card, disabled sound..etc. Tried with a different PSU, an Antec smart 350 (had a smart 300 in there)
vid cards are geforce 2 ultra, then a geforce 3 ti500, both work great in other machines. Memory was extreme ddr then crucial,-both work great in other machines. Hard drive is one maxtor, and one western digital. I tried everthing except a new mb.
I got an ITMax2V2.0..I got a couple of BSOD during the install. Swapped the memory...installed fine, then updated from windows update..all fine...then installed intel chipset drivers. Okay..for a little while...then the horrible system reboot. Then more and more lockups.
the error is event id 1003 (the same in both motherboards) code 102 and the first code is 0000009c.
Could the PSU still not be strong enough?
TEMPS ARE NOT GETTING OVER 46!
PLEASE HELP!
thanks so much
