I'm building a new system with a Gigabyte GA-P35C DS3R and an Intel 6750 CPU. The trouble is that I can't get the mobo to POST or beep. I turn the power on, the CPU fan starts, and nothing else. I sent the mobo and CPU back, got new ones, and still the same problem. The only thing that's the same from the two tests is the power supply.
I've only seen one bad power supply, and the whole power supply was bad. Has anyone seen a power supply with a bad wire?
Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Just understand that I'm not new at this. This is my third personal computer build from scratch and I built computers professionally back when they were PCs (That was 1986. Man, I'm getting old).
