So I have a co-worker, anbd he is a schmuck at times, but I have often let some of his bad behavior go, not complained to management, etc.
It seems he has a "thing" for answering my phone, and as of late it has gone a step to far...
The other day one of my fellow cube dwellers tells me that when i had gone to a meeting, my cell phone (it is a work provided cell phone) started to ring. I left it in my wool coat, so it wasnt loud, and my co-worker who sits straight across from me sai dhe could barely hear it.
Regardless, the schmuck goes over to my desk, looks for the phone and when he cant see it in plain sight, he hears it ring again and figures out it is in my jacket. So whats his next step? He goes INTO my jacket at my desk, searching for my phone, finds it, takes it out of my jacket, and then proceeds to see who is calling me!
He doesnt answer it in time, so he opens it and calls back the person who last called me!
It wasnt a number in my phone, so no caller id showed up, just the number...WTF is up with that!
First, it is obvious he shouldnt be in my personal space, thats a no brainer, what if I had a needle in my jacket for diabetes that the cap fell off of? What if he pricked himself? What if my girlfriend had placed a piece of clothing in my pocket to hold, and he ran across it, he is the type of idiot that would have pukked it out and shown it aorund....
My question is, what do you think is the best way to deal with this?
I was debating sending an email to my group (he works in my group) and say that i was made aware that someone has been answering my phone, and even gone as far as reviewing my calls and calling back people...but I am unsure the best way to word this without being too much of a pirck...
thoughts?
